Why does the electric fluorine lined butterfly valve leak air

1Structural reasons:

Butterfly valves have a simple structure, small size, and light weight, but they also have limitations in terms of sealing. The sealing surface of a butterfly valve is composed of the valve body and sealing components, so the machining accuracy of the valve itself directly affects the quality of the seal. If the valve itself has defects such as rough machining, inaccurate dimensions, and asymmetric geometric shapes, it can lead to air leakage in the butterfly valve.

2Reason for sealing material:

The sealing materials for butterfly valves are usually rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene, etc. These materials are prone to aging, deformation, and loss of sealing performance. In addition, if the sealing material reacts with chemicals present in the fluid, it may also cause leakage in the butterfly valve.

3Installation process reasons:

The installation process of butterfly valves can also affect the sealing performance of the valve. If installed improperly, such as insufficient tightening force, excessive deviation in installation angle, etc., it may also cause air leakage in the butterfly valve. In addition, after the installation of butterfly valves, timely maintenance should be carried out, the valve status should be checked, and aged and deformed sealing materials should be replaced to ensure the sealing and safety of the valve.

In summary, the causes of butterfly valve leakage can be analyzed and solved from three aspects: structure, sealing material, and installation process. In practical use, attention should be paid to selecting butterfly valves with good quality and reasonable structure, strictly following the installation specifications for installation and debugging, and timely maintenance to ensure the effectiveness and safety of the valve.

Common faults of fluorine lined butterfly valves include the following:

1. Leakage: mainly due to damage, looseness, or foreign objects on the sealing surface. Flexible operation: mainly due to the inflexibility of the operating lever or gearbox, or excessive friction between the valve core shaft and the valve seat.

2. Valve pressure relief: mainly due to sealing surface failure, it may also be due to incorrect valve installation position or deformation of valve base.

3. Excessive or insufficient leakage: mainly due to failure to pay attention to sealing performance or aging and deformation of the sealing ring during maintenance.

For these faults, the following troubleshooting methods can be taken:

1. Replace the damaged sealing parts with new seals.

2. Clean the inside of the operating lever or gearbox and add an appropriate amount of lubricant.

3. Check if the valve core shaft and valve seat are worn or corroded, and replace them if necessary.

4. Check if the valve installation position and base are correct.

5. Replace the sealing ring or sealing surface to ensure sealing performance.
